This is an introductory course on trauma. The definitions of trauma, complex trauma and developmental trauma will be described, including the DSM diagnostic categories. These different types of trauma will be explored more deeply with significant emphasis on developmental trauma and its impact on brain and brain-body connections. The course will be both didactic and interactive. The course facilitator is a psychotherapist with expertise in developmental trauma, complex trauma and PTSD.
